Meet the Team
I am Kim Sierck, instructor of the SLHS journalism course. I am in my 19th year of teaching, and my role changed this year to that of high school instructional coach. I wanted to maintain a classroom connection, so I have continued to teach journalism, which I am passionate about because of its influences on people’s lives. I am proud of all of our class productions because they are student-driven and student-produced, and the students work hard each day to make sure things are done well.

What is the best way to go about being a person? How did we come to be, and what will become of us when we are no longer? In short: What are the rules of this game, and how might we best play it?” - Looking for Alaska, by John Green
